The winery
The Oddero winery is located in
Santa Maria, a hamlet of
La Morra, at Borgata Tetti 28. One part is used for winemaking, while the other historic section, dating back to the end of the 18th century, is used for maturing and ageing the wines.
Every generation has contributed to the buildings, while keeping intact the L-shaped outline, characteristic of Langhe farmhouses. The wines are vinified in stainless steel, while the refining and ageing takes place in large Slavonian oak barrels and some newer French oak barrels.
The new winery under construction
Currently under construction is a new winery, which will be able to comfortably house the whole vinification process. The latest initiative from the new Oddero generation, it will be ready in autumn 2008.
The project of the winery has been designed by the architects Mariateresa Bruno and Giorgio Sordo; the building company is Marino Travaglio (Fratelli Travaglio di Bossolasco).
