Barbaresco Gallina 2008

  • Guide: International Wine Report
  • Score: 92
  • Note: The 2008 Barbaresco Gallina is absolutely gorgeous, with aromas of strawberry, wild cherries, licorice, smoke, fresh roses, wet stone and some subtle hints of molasses develop with air contact. Medium-bodied, elegant and refined with a tightly wound structure that finishes up clean, long and very pretty. 100% Nebbiolo aged in French and Austrian oak barrels. Bottling takes place at the end of the summer, with a further six months of bottle aging before release on the market, but have some patience as this will require some more time. (Best 2016-2025)

  • Note: The 2007 Oddero Barolo shows lots of class and elegance with lovely aromas of ripe strawberries, raspberry, tar, smoke, fresh cut flowers and mineral. This has a beautiful refined structure with fine-grained tannins and a tight gripping finish that really lasts. The Nebbiolo grapes which make up this wine are hand selected from two different vineyards and aged separately in 40, 60 and 75 –hectoliter Slavonian and Austrian oak barrels for 30 months. Moscato d'Asti Cascina Fiori 2011

  • Guide: International Wine Report
  • Score: 91
  • Note: The 2011 Oddero Moscato d'Asti Cascina Fiori is fantastic. I just absolutely love the freshness this brings backed up by delicious peaches, nectarine and some baked apple along with slate and lots of pretty floral. This is 'frizzante' and on the sweeter side so it would be a great to sip on with some fresh fruits or a great match with desserts. If you are ever looking for a wine to please a crowd then you should definitely give this a shot. 100% Moscato Bianco. Delicious! (Drink 2012-2013)
